In Astro Boy, a little robot shows he’s more than just a collection of metal, circuits and wires

By Marni Weisz

After losing his son in an accident, a brilliant scientist living in futuristic Metro City creates Astro Boy — a robot child to take his son’s place. The robot looks like his son, and acts pretty much like a real kid, but unfortunately he can’t live up to the scientist’s expectations and leaves home.

Exploring the galaxy on his own, Astro Boy meets all sorts of far-out characters and has wild adventures that teach him what it means to be human. He also hones his many special powers, like X-ray vision, the ability to fly and incredible strength and speed, which he uses to fight evil.

But the biggest evil may be back home in Metro City, where his old friends and family are in grave danger.

Astro Boy will have to put his past behind him and gather all of his strength to fight this ultimate battle and save the ones he loves.

Astro Boy opens October 23
