Story Time

Magic Pickle

By Scott Morse

A brand-new graphic novel series bursts onto the scene in March, and this one’s juicy. That’s because it stars the Magic Pickle, a flying kosher dill developed by the government to use against the Brotherhood of Evil Produce. Two new Pickle titles are being released at once — Magic Pickle and the Planet of the Grapes and Magic Pickle vs. The Egg Poacher. In the first we meet the pickle just after he’s been created in a secret military lab that happens to be located under the bedroom floor of eight-year-old JoJo Wigwams, and in the second Magic Pickle and JoJo take on a rotten egg planning to kidnap a kiwi.

Quest for the Lost City of Gold

By Stephen Biesty

What an adventure! When this book’s author, Stephen, gets a letter from an old history teacher it launches him on a trip around the world to find the Lost City of Gold. The letter is really more of a challenge than a friendly greeting. Stephen’s teacher, Jack Smith, has created all sorts of riddles and tests for him, and it’s only by figuring out each piece of the puzzle that Stephen can move on to the next step. Of course, it’s up to you to figure things out along with him. To help you, the book comes with stickers, a riddle card and even a 3D diorama of a very special place along the journey.
