It’s not all fun and games when a grown man turns back into a teenager in 17 Again

Teenagers will tell you that it’s not always easy being a teen. There’s pressure to fit in, to do well in school, and everyone is asking what you want to do with your life.

But it’s funny, when teens become adults they often think their teen years were the best years of their lives!
That’s what Mike O’Donnell believes. Mike is an unhappy 37-year-old man who’s separated from his wife, Scarlett, and doesn’t have much of a relationship with his two teenage kids, Maggie and Alex.

To make himself feel better, Mike visits his old high school to relive his memories of being the school’s basketball star. Mike was offered a college basketball scholarship, but he decided not to go to school and instead married his high school sweetheart Scarlett — a decision he now regrets.

But in a bizarre twist of fate, Mike is transformed back into his 17-year-old self. (And it’s hottie Zac Efron who plays the teenage version of Mike!)

He’s been given the chance to turn his life around, but he didn’t take into account that he would be going to school with his daughter Maggie and son Alex. Mike soon discovers Maggie is actually really insecure, and Alex gets picked on by bullies. Suddenly, changing his own life is less important than helping his kids straighten out theirs.
