Security guard Larry Daley and his historical pals are back in the sequel Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
When we last saw Night at the Museum’s night watchman Larry Daley, he had finally taken control of the artifacts and historical figures that roamed the halls of the Museum of Natural History every night. But Larry’s peace and quiet is short-lived.
In the sequel, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, the Museum of Natural History is closed for renovations, and some of its contents are being stored at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. The Smithsonian isn’t a single place, but rather a collection of 19 separate museums and art galleries housing nearly 137 million artifacts, specimens and works of art!
Larry doesn’t want his new friends — including cowboy Jedediah, ancient Roman senator Octavius and American president Theodore Roosevelt — locked up in boxes and stuck in storage. So he heads to the Smithsonian and gets a job as a night watchman in order to rescue his pals.
But that ancient Egyptian tablet that brings objects to life is now at the Smithsonian, which means Larry and his gang are going to be introduced to some new faces, including bad guys Al Capone and Ivan the Terrible, and a charming female pilot, the legendary Amelia Earhart.
