Another bleak summer with the Dursleys comes to an unexpected and
dangerous end when Harry and his cousin Dudley are attacked by a band
of Dementors. Harry uses magic to thwart them, and in doing so is
expelled from Hogwarts.
But before he can feel sorry for himself, Harry is taken to the home
of his godfather, Sirius Black. His home is the headquarters for a
secret organization called The Order of the Phoenix. This group — that
includes Sirius, Dumbledore and the Weasley parents — is dedicated to
stopping Voldemort before he can regain his full powers.

Harry is allowed to return to Hogwarts, but he soon realizes that
the school is not taking Voldemort’s return seriously. The new Defense
Against the Dark Arts teacher, Dolores Umbridge, is useless, teaching
simple spells that offer no protection from Voldemort’s Death Eaters.
So Harry takes it upon himself to teach the students, forming Dumbledore’s Army. And while Harry is preparing his classmates for battle, You-Know-Who is laying a trap for the young wizard, using Harry’s beloved godfather Sirius as bait!
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix opens July 11.
