Kung Fu Panda
DS, PC, PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360
In this game based on the movie, you can play as Po the panda, his teacher Shifu, or one of the Furious Five (Monkey, Tigress, Viper, Mantis and Crane). You must study your kung fu well, because you’ll face baddies like the Great Gorilla, the Wolf Sergeant and the ultimate villain: Tai Lung.
To survive 13 levels of combat challenges and puzzles, you’ll have to master Po’s “Panda Style” moves, including the Panda Quake, Panda Stumble and Iron Belly Blast, plus the rest of the heroes’ special abilities. And whether you play solo, one-on-one or co-op, you get to enjoy Po’s goofy humour.
High School Musical: Work This Out
DS
Dive into the world of Lava Springs Resort as Troy, Gabriella, Ryan, Chad, Taylor or Sharpay for this musical adventure that continues the stories from HSM 2. Working and playing around the hotel, your tasks will include both rhythm games and timed challenges, for example, running around the pool deck opening umbrellas so guests don’t get sunburned. All 10 songs from the movie appear in the many mini-games, and you can also use
the DS as a music player to groove to the tunes — even when it’s closed.
Boom Blox
Wii
This 3D puzzle game is all about blocks going BOOM! Featuring 300 intricate levels made of Lego-type bricks, you’ll use the Wii-mote to grab, shove, shoot and blow up individual “blox,” even setting off chain reactions to knock down whole structures at once.
There are also 30 different blocky characters wandering around, like a chicken who lays bomb bricks, a baseball-throwing monkey and a grim reaper who’s very bad news. Compete against the clock or take on up to three friends, and “Create Mode” lets you design your own imaginative levels and share them with others online via WiiConnect24.
