Ripped Jeans

Can a magical pair of jeans keep best friends Bridget, Tibby, Carmen and Lena from drifting apart?  

One of the hardest things about growing up is that you often don’t have as much time to spend with your friends as you used to.

If you saw the movie The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, or read the book by Anne Brashares on which it was based, you know that Bridget, Lena, Carmen and Tibby are best friends who had a tough time dealing with the first summer they were forced to spend apart. There was one thing that helped them stay connected, though, a very special pair of jeans that fit each of them perfectly, despite the fact that the girls are different shapes and sizes.

Well, a few years have passed since that special summer, and the girls are separated again, moving on with their lives, living in different cities, going to college and getting caught up in activities that pull them away from each other. The difficulties of being apart from each other are once again captured in this summer’s sequel The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.

If you’ve read all four of Anne Brashares’ books you should know that the sequel is based on books two, three and four, so there’s a lot to cover. And what about those special jeans? We have it on good authority that the same pair of jeans used to make the first movie is still around for the second.
