Junior Movie Reviews

In the Spring issue of Famous Kids we asked you to send us reviews of movies you saw, and you didn't let us down!

Nim’s Island

“I am truly sorry but I watched Nim’s Island and I was somewhat disappointed, I thought there would be more to the story, it just seemed a bit shorter than what I expected. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it though, I believe that it taught people that age doesn’t matter when it comes to bravery, like how Nim climbed the volcano even though she was only 11.”

College Road Trip

College Road Trip is about this girl named Melanie (Family Channel’s very own star of That’s So Raven), who wants to go to a college in Washington, DC. Meanwhile, her dad has other plans for her college. He accompanies Melanie on her college road trip, and just can’t let go of his little girl. Through twists and turns this hilarious comedy is something you won’t want to miss!”

“Yesterday I went with my family to see College Road Trip. It was an awesome movie! It’s great for people that like a good laugh. I also think out of 10 I would give it a 10! I also liked the part when the car rolls down a hill! But also in the story there is a lesson. I hope you find out the lesson when you go and see it! I love the movie and hope you will.

The Spiderwick Chronicles

The Spiderwick Chronicles was an exciting and awesome movie! I loved it because I like exciting movies. The only scary part was to see Mulgarath and the trolls almost face to face. When the movie comes out on DVD, I’m so getting it!”

The Spiderwick Chronicles was a great movie. It was sort of different from the books but I liked it. It was cool when all the goblins were surrounding the house and Jared, Simon and Mallory (the Grace children) were on the roof scared. At some parts you jump because goblins or other creatures pop up. This movie is really exciting so if you like exciting, mysterious movies, then you have to see The Spiderwick Chronicles.“

Horton Hears a Who!

“Hi my name is Enyd and I just saw the movie Horton Hears a Who! I thought it was just wonderful. I really, really loved the colours they used in the movie. I thought the whole movie was awesome, but the best part was the part when JoJo showed his father his musical place. And that is my review!!”
Enyd S. Vancouver, BC

Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour

“Awhile back I saw the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus concert 3D movie with my 2 younger siblings, Justin and Rachel, they are big fans and thought it was awesome! I’m also a fan and I thought it was cool how we got to see backstage stuff, like how Miley becomes Hannah. I loved how confetti would fly at us and how we’d be able to reach out for the microphone. But the one thing that made it 10/10 was that it featured the Jonas Brothers! We love them too!”
