Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

DS, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, XBOX 360

The giant invaders from the planet Cybertron are back this summer for a second helping of metallic mayhem, and the action doesn’t end on the big screen. Fans can now transform themselves into either Autobots or Decepticons and battle to save — or destroy — the human race. Characters such as Bumblebee, Starscream and Ironhide all have their own abilities and weapons (not to mention personalities), and smoothly switch from vehicle to robot as they drive, fly, fight and blast through levels set around the world. If commanding colossal machines by yourself gets old, you can also go online and challenge your friends in multiplayer matches.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

DS, Mac, PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, XBOX 360

When is going to school in the summer OK? When that school is Hogwarts! The latest Harry Potter game gives you a fresh chance to explore the famous magical corridors and grounds, but beware: With Voldemort tightening his grip on the world, Hogwarts is not the safe haven it once was. Harry’s perilous sixth year means engaging in exciting wizard duels with powerful new spells like Petrificus Totalus, mixing and brewing magical ingredients in Potions class and taking to the air as part of Gryffindor’s Quidditch team. But the trickiest challenge of all just might be...surviving Ron Weasley’s romantic entanglements.

Space Camp

DS, Wii

Space Camp puts you in the boots of a wannabe astronaut entering a training program. But the fun really begins after you are accidentally rocketed to the moon and have to survive a series of missions before returning home to Earth. With the help of your own robot, you’ll have to complete scientific experiments, control the spacecraft and even defend the moon from invaders. Then use the Wii remote for mini-games like digging up space rocks and drilling into the moon’s surface. And since space can get lonely, there’s a two-player cooperative mode and a competitive tournament for four.
