Father-Daughter Business
In Imagine That, a father discovers his daughter’s imaginary friends possess big business smarts
By Marni Weisz
Olivia’s dad Evan is all work and no play. Even when he’s not at the office he’s checking his BlackBerry and worrying about how to impress his boss.
So when Olivia comes to Evan’s office and doodles all over his papers, he flips out! He’s about to go into a big meeting and those papers are really important.
Little does Evan know that, somehow, those doodles correspond to very useful inside information about other companies. A big red heart Olivia drew on one file means that there’s going to be a merger — or marriage — of two companies. Olivia tells Evan that her invisible friend the princess told her that those two companies were going to get married.
Evan’s boss doesn’t know quite how he’s figured out all of this crucial information, but it sure makes Evan look like a genius. And the truth is, the last thing Evan wants is for anyone to know it’s Olivia’s imaginary world that’s the secret to his success.
As Evan starts spending less time on his BlackBerry and more time with Olivia getting business tips from her imaginary friends, he
also starts to have fun and become a better dad.
