The Waterhorse: Legend of the Deep
Angus and the Egg
Find out what happens when a Scottish boy stumbles across a mysterious egg in The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep
Several decades ago, a young Scottish boy named Angus found a very strange-looking egg. This egg was about as big as a football, was covered in a hard, rocky shell and was glittery blue inside. When the egg hatched, there was a rubbery grey creature inside. This creature sort of looked like a hippopotamus, but not really. It had four flippers, a tail and pointy ears that stood straight up. Angus quickly discovered that the creature was happiest when it was in water. So he let it play in the bathtub, and even the toilet. Angus felt that he shouldn’t tell many people about the creature and kept it a secret.

But the creature, which Angus had decided was a water horse, was
growing pretty fast. Eventually Angus realized that no bathtub or
toilet was going to be able to contain the water horse for much longer,
so he found it a new home in a lake — or, as they call lakes in
Scotland, a loch. This particular loch was called Loch Ness.
Does that name ring any bells?
Since
the 1930s, travellers, tourists and locals around Scotland’s Loch Ness
have reported catching short glimpses of a huge sea creature that
they’ve dubbed The Loch Ness Monster, or Nessie for short. And the
truth is, there are stories about a similar creature dating all the way
back to the 6th century.
Is it possible that Nessie really does exist, and that she started her life in a little boy’s bathtub? Decide for yourself when The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep comes to theatres.
