Junior Movie Reviews

In our Fall issue of Famous Kids we asked you to send us reviews of the movies you saw over the summer, and you didn’t let us down!

Nancy Drew

“When I saw Nancy Drew I couldn't believe it! It was one of my favourite movies! It was awesome!!! I thought it was really interesting and cool! The movie was better than the books!!! It was so exciting!!! If you like interesting, mysterious, thrilling movies, then you should see this movie!"

Shrek the Third

"I watched Shrek the Third over the summer, and let me tell you that movie was the bomb!!! It was so cool when the princesses started to fight and when the queen broke the wall with her head...awesome. The only sad part was when the king died (sniffle), me and my mom felt so bad. Other than that the movie was the best ever. WHOO!"

Pedia R. Toronto, ON

Hairspray

"Hairspray is a great movie! It has an awesome message to it and is very entertaining. It is so funny to watch John Travolta dance around in a dress. I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants a good laugh and a great beat to dance to."

Samantha B. Calgary, AB

The Game Plan

"Hi. My name is Izzy and I went to the movie The Game Plan today with my cousin Alley and my aunt. It was really funny and I especially liked the scenes with Spike, the dog! Peyton was a really good actor and when it came to the sad parts she cried. Joe was so funny because he would pretend he was Elvis. It was NOT a waste of money and I would recommend it!"

Elijah P. Chilliwack, B.C.

"This movie, The Game Plan, was the comedy event of the season. What's so good about it, you ask? Well, for one thing, it stars former WWE wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Cory in the House's Madison Pettis (Sophie). It had laughter, adventure, tragedy and a whole lot more. The best part about the movie was that Joe Kingman (Johnson), this millionaire from playing professional football suddenly finds out he has a child. I give this movie 3 hairy thumbs up and if you see it also, you'll do the same thing."

Andrew G. Toronto, ON

Transformers

Transformers is the longest, best and most action packed movie I have ever seen, and after all that, it is also extremely funny. The graphics in the movie seem so real.... Most of my friends are going to see the movie for the third time but I have only seen it twice. Michael Bay (the director) has really outdone himself this time with this movie.... On a scale of one to ten, I would give this movie an eleven. Most people have seen this movie over and over again just because it is so entertaining. In conclusion, I recommend everyone, if given the chance, should watch this movie on the big screen."
