Jonas Brothers Rap
The Jonas Brothers release their big 3D movie on February 27th. But that’s just one of the things that kept the boys busy this year. We recently sat down with the brothers — Nick, Kevin and Joe — to talk about movies, music, and life on the road.
If you could do a soundtrack for any movie, which movie would it be?
Joe: “I think a James Bond movie, maybe. We would love to write some songs that were James Bond influenced. It’s our favourite movie, for sure.”
Who is your favourite actor?
Nick: “Ummm…favourite actor? I think, female actress, um, probably Ellen Page. Loved her in Juno. And, um, male, torn between Ryan Reynolds and Daniel Craig and Shia LaBeouf.”
What’s your favourite movie soundtrack?
Joe: “The Juno soundtrack is actually really good. A lot of really great, funny songs on it.”
Nick: “The Juno soundtrack was great.”
Kevin: “We all have it on our iTunes.”
What movies do you guys have on your tour bus?
Kevin: “Spinal Tap.”
Joe: “We have pretty much every Will Ferrell movie.
Kevin: “Yes, for sure. We’d love to do a movie with Will Ferrell, that’d be so much fun.”
Joe: “Casino Royale.”
Kevin: “Yeah, James Bond. We love action, music movies, we love tour DVDs, you know, things like that.”
What’s it like to have young girls all over the world screaming for you?
Joe: It’s definitely a cool feeling when you know that you have fans all over the world… You kind of just laugh, and you have to learn how to take it in and just enjoy it.”
What do you do to stay normal?
Kevin: “We like to play golf. We play golf a lot. We just hang out, we’re normal guys, we’re just in a rock ’n’ roll band. I think something our parents put into our hearts very early on was, even if you’re at the top, live like you’re at the bottom. And that’s something that’s stayed true to our hearts, and we strive to do every single day.”
What’s it like to tour with your brothers? Do you guys get into arguments?
Kevin: “We really don’t fight or argue that often. We really just like to joke around with each other and enjoy that. Honestly, we have a blast on the road. We love what we do together, I don’t think we’d do it any other way. You know, we’re brothers at heart and we love being in a band together.”
Which is harder — music or acting?
Joe: “I would definitely say acting is a little difficult sometimes…. It’s new to us and you only get one shot. Of course, you can re-shoot something, but when they’re satisfied you move on to the next scene, so you’re like, uh, how did I do? And music, to us, is just kind of what we do, and we feel natural doing it.”
Jonas Brothers: Burning up Concert opens February 27
The singing brothers are coming right at ya in their 3D concert movie!
Miley Cyrus did it, and now the Jonas Brothers are doing it. The pop-star siblings are making their very own 3D concert movie! And like the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour movie, the Jonas Brothers film, Jonas Brothers: Burning Up Concert, will include concert performances, backstage antics and a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of the singing siblings from Wyckoff, New Jersey.
The concert portion of the film was shot during the brothers “Burning Up Tour” this past summer. If you were lucky enough to be at their Toronto show in July and think you may get a glimpse of yourself in the crowd, we’re sorry to tell you you’re out of luck. The concert footage in the film is taken from the shows they performed in New York City and Anaheim, California, with guest stars Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato.
