Atonement's Keira Knightley

The Golden Globes
The writers’ strike landed a body blow to the Hollywood Foreign
Press Association’s annual Golden Globes, although it didn’t knock the
awards show off the air entirely. Reduced from a three-hour,
celebrity-filled glitzy dinner and prize giveaway to a half-hour
televised news conference, the GGs were a muted affair. However, that
doesn’t change the fact they kick-start the awards season, and people
pay very close attention to the Golden Globes when it comes time to
picking Oscar winners.
